There are many reasons to book a wedding day co-ordinator and many different types of venues where having one will be an asset. We specialise in co-ordinating weddings at home or in dry venues, where all elements must be bought together. We co-ordinate weddings in marquees, tipis, gardens, halls, sports clubs, hotels and specialist event venues.
When we co-ordinate a wedding, we work quietly in the background, making sure everything looks as it should, that everyone is where they need to be and that it all happens at the right time. Our aim is to ensure the couple have the day they dreamed of and that they can relax, knowing it is all under control. If your suppliers are lost, your guests need a taxi, if the loos stop working or if no one can find the ice...it shouldn’t be your problem. As a wedding day co-ordinator, we will be on hand to fix any issues, answer any questions and to keep the day running smoothly.
Weddings At Home
Approximately half of our wedding day co-ordinations are for weddings at home. Hosting a wedding at a family or friend’s home can be lovely but daunting. It allows freedom to make your own choices and set your own timings. Booking a wedding day co-ordinator means you will have access to a wealth of experience, ensuring everything is thought of ahead of time and nothing is missed. It will also help to divert any potential stress on the day for you or the home owner.
Dry Venues
There are many beautiful venues in Surrey which offer a dry hire option. That typically means you will be hiring the venue as an empty shell, allowing you the freedom to do what you like with the space and to source your own suppliers. As an independent co-ordinator, we assist in pulling all of the elements together. We can work alongside your chosen caterer, keep your schedule running to time meeting all suppliers and setting out any decorative elements.
Hotels
Venues like hotels will often have their own events manager present on the day. They will cover many things but sometimes not more detailed decor set up or events throughout the day such as outdoors sparklers or moving furniture which does not belong to the hotel. Some couples who have previously used us in the planning process, prefer the continuity of having someone they have been working with to then pull it together on the day. And some couples, just prefer to have an independent person there on the day to ensure things run smoothly.
Our Wedding Day Co-ordination service includes:
- A site meeting with the couple, around 4-6 weeks before the wedding.
- Development of a detailed wedding day timeline in collaboration with couple.
- Contact with all necessary suppliers/service providers 1-2 weeks before the wedding day to confirm all details.
- Meeting and instructing any suppliers delivering or setting up on the wedding day.
- Setting up decorative items and any other items discussed before the wedding day.
- Day Coordination and supervision for ten hours on the wedding day (The time can be extended with an hourly rate if required)
